Pensioner in critical condition in hospital after motorcycle horror smash in Ayrshire

A pensioner is in a critical condition in hospital today after crashing his motorcycle on an Ayrshire road. The 70-year-old is currently in Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarknock after colliding with an Audi on the A736 Lochlibo Road at Torranyard.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following the incident at around 3.05pm on Tuesday, June 2 near to Viewfield Manor Leisure Park.

Following the smash the 55-year-old male driver of the car was arrested in connection with the collision. He was subsequently released without charge, pending further enquiries.
