Bruno Fernandes has said it would be a “nightmare” if Manchester United finish the season without a trophy. United’s hopes of clinching some silverware look to be already over after they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Middlesbrough at the fourth round stage.

While the odds of them being crowned European champions for a fourth time are long, Fernandes doesn’t want to give up hope yet as he looks to end his wait for a piece of silverware at Old Trafford. “I am really happy with my time at the club,” Fernandes told the Premier League Productions. “I have always said, not winning a title for this club is like a nightmare because it is something I want. “I want to do it for me, but also because I think the club deserves it, the fans deserve it, and a club like this should not be so long without winning a trophy. “Two weeks ago, we had two chances and now we have one chance to win a trophy.
