Paul Merson has admitted he got it "horribly wrong" in predicting that Harry Kane would not live up to his true potential under Jose Mourinho.
The Tottenham striker's late winner against West Brom on Sunday was his seventh in eight Premier League games so far this season, while he has also provided eight assists in his sensational start to the campaign.
Yet Merson stated his belief over the summer that Kane would not be able to flourish under Mourinho, who garnered a reputation for playing defensive football in the past.
