More than 7,000 students from China have been flown into Manchester for their studies at universities in the city and across the North of England.In total, 31 specially chartered flights have been organised between Chongqing Jiangbei Airport in central China and Manchester Airport to transport the students.All students have been transported straight from the airport to their accommodation to self-isolate for 14 days after landing.More students are due to fly in but as a result of the new lockdown measures, all flights were suspended from November 8.
