Only Fools and Horses’ David Jason launches ‘with trigger’s broom, we’ll beat it soon’ slogan in fight against Covid-19

thesun.co.ukTV’s Del Boy issued a rallying cry against coronavirus, insisting: “With Trigger’s broom, we’ll beat this soon.” Sir David Jason, 80, came up with the slogan to help people remember social distancing rules.
The Only Fools and Horses legend was inspired by the classic comedy’s roadsweeper Trigger, played by the late Roger Lloyd-Pack.
He aired his idea in a YouTube video for his fans, offering “some moral support in these very difficult and trying times”. Sir David urged them to imagine holding Trigger’s broom out at arm’s length — approx 9ft.
