The 80-year-old screen legend, best known for playing Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses, is clearly in the creme de la menthe of health as he offers himself up for the Hollywood role.
He said: “I’d love to work with Tom Cruise because he’s a bit of a good looking action man and I’m a bit of an action man myself. “I could give him a helping hand.
Tom, if you’re listening – I’m available.” He also revealed that he came up with some of Del Boy’s odd catchphrases for the 1980s BBC sitcom – including “bonnet de douche”, after seeing a shower cap in Paris.
