BRADLEY Walsh has been tipped to replace Sir David Jason in ITV's reboot of The Darling Buds of May. The classic comedy originally aired between 1991 and 1993 and followed the Larkin family in 1950s rural England.
David, 80, played Sidney 'Pop' Larkin alongside Pam Ferris, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Philip Franks. The Sun first reported news of a reboot last year, and now it has been claimed Bradley, 59, is being lined up to replace him on the show.
A source told The Mirror: "The original series, starring David Jason, Pam Ferris and Catherine Zeta-Jones, was an enormous hit so casting the remake has to be just right." Copying Pop's catchphrase, they added: "Everyone thinks Bradley will do a brilliant job as Pop.
