Hero NHS staff celebrated a man's recovery from coronavirus by re-placing his wedding ring to cheers of joy as he left intensive care.

Touching footage of the moment shows the man being wheeled from ICU at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.

A team of medics in gowns, face masks, gloves and caps walk alongside him as they clap and cheer. As they pause momentarily after exiting the double doors, a nurse then takes a ring from a small pot an places it on his wedding finger.
