One of 13 new coronavirus in the UK is a healthcare worker at cancer centre. The staff member worked at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, near London.
The NHS said in a statement that the "risk to patients and staff is very low" adding that "it remains safe for patients to attend [the centre]." Thirteen fresh cases were confirmed in the UK over the weekend - with three having been passed the virus by a man in Surrey.
Another patient, from Essex, contracted it in England. The total number of reported cases in the UK is now at 36. This morning it was also reported that a London boys Catholic school closed after a staff member was treated for coronavirus.
