England WAGs have reportedly been approached to star in a £1million Netflix documentary for the Qatar World Cup.Optomen TV have approached the wives and girlfriends of England’s football stars to take part in a show expected to be filmed in the build-up to the tournament.
It is understood they will be followed around by cameras as they go about their day-to-day lives.The Sun claim those approached are former Love Island winner Dani Dyer, girlfriend of West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, and Jack Grealish’s long-time girlfriend Sasha Attwood.
Luke Shaw’s wife Anouska Santos is also said to be in the mix.The TV producers will be hoping for a repeat of the drama that unfolded amongst the England WAGs at the 2006 World Cup, where they took centre stage in Baden-Baden, Germany.
But the distractions will likely concern England manager Gareth Southgate as he tries to win England their first major trophy since 1966.A source told The Sun: “The proposed docu-series would show off the luxury lifestyle these women lead as they support their other halves in the World Cup lead up.
