Mum-of-six who 'swindled £55k benefits for six years jailed for scam'

A benefits cheat who conned the Department of Work and Pensions out of £55,000 in a six-year scam has been jailed, it has been reported.

Mum-of-six Rosanna Anderson was said to have failed to tell officials that she was living with her then-partner at her family home.

The 31-year-old who has five children and is step-mum to one, reportedly claimed the extra Child Tax Credits payments while living with her ex Stuart McTaggart.

The Edinburgh Evening News reports that she was jailed this week after admitted to pocketing £55,000 that she was not entitled to from May 2012 until January 2018.
