NHS hospital because of a random “act of kindness”.Lynne Kings, 53, was sacked by bosses at Birmingham Women's Hospital after she was alleged to have accessed the patient system but had no authority to do so.
And she did it, she claimed, to take her son's ex-girlfriend a new baby present after finding out which ward she was on, Birmingham Live reports. However, that small act of kindness has left her unable to pay her bills after she was sacked over the “policy breach” in February.Although the hospital said that it could not disclose what happened, they “investigate any possible breaches and act in line with our Trust procedures to protect patients in our care."Mrs Kings, a now-former MDT coordinator for gynaecology cancer at the hospital, said: “I've put my hands up to what I did, I've apologised.“My heart went before my head.

She was like a daughter to me.“All I did, I looked up what ward she was on, I went and bought her a present from the nursery shop and I just went in.“I went onto the ward, asked the ward clerk 'is so and so here, any chance I can go in and give her this?'.
The ward clerk said yes.“I knocked on the door and said can I come in? She said yes, I told her: 'I'm really happy for you'.
