Richard Foster leaves Partick Thistle weeks after confrontation with fan as Ian McCall praises 'hugely important' star

Partick Thistle have parted ways with veteran defender Richard Foster. The former Rangers right-back is set to leave the club after two years upon the expiry of his Firhill contract, along with four others.

Steven Bell, Ciaran McKenna, Connor Murray and Stephen Hendrie will also exit. However, the club insist they remain in discussions with midfielder Robbie Crawford.

Five loan players will return to their parent clubs; they are Rangers trio Lewis Mayo, Andy Firth and Juan Alegria, St Mirren's Kyle McAllister and Alex Jakubiak of Dundee.
