A mum says she fears her three-year-old son has been left partially blind after being squirted in the eye with hand sanitiser during a birthday trip out.

Little Jaxson Mcavoy was injured in the freak accident, which happened at Deep Sea World in Fife, on Sunday. Jaxson was left screaming in agony after using the dispenser at the entrance of the attraction, the Daily Record reports.

Furious mum Katie claims aquarium staff asked her to pay the £38 entrance fee for her family before she could access first aid, something the company disputes.

This delay could have worsened his horror injuries, the mum-of-three claims. Jaxson was raced to Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline, where hero medics battled to save his sight as his face swelled up.
