Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is reportedly still trying to get a deal to sell the club to the Saudi Arabia Public investment Fund (PiF) over the line.The PiF, led by Prince Mohammad bin Salman, pulled out of a deal to buy the Premier League club after weeks of delays.A £300m deal had been agreed back in April though it was being scrutinised under the Premier League's owners' and directors' test.It’s believed the PiF ran out of patience, but Sky Sports now claim that current Newcastle owner Ashley is still eager to secure the sale.Sky Sports report that Ashley is continuing dialogue with the PiF and is trying to resolve the situation.They add that Ashley hasn’t walked away from the deal, unlike the PiF, though the owner is believed to still.
