Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.
In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Sancho equalised midway through the first half after Kevin De Bruyne had put the hosts ahead early on. United's leveller was a classic counter-attacking move that began with Fernandes playing the ball to Paul Pogba inside his own half.
Pogba turned, ran forward a few yards and sent a delightful arcing ball through for Sancho to chase. The England midfielder duly got on the end of it and faced up to Three Lions team-mate Kyle Walker stationed ahead of him just outside the box.
With Walker back-peddling, a clever gut-busting run from Fernandes dragged the defender out of position, allowing Sancho the space to shoot.And shoot he did - curling the ball beyond Ederson to level things up at 1-1.While Sancho received praise for his exquisite finish, United fans were also keen to draw attention to Fernandes' part in the goal.
