Manchester United will be looking to progress to the last eight of the Champions League for the first time since 2019 when they face Atletico Madrid in the second-leg of their last-16 showdown at Old Trafford this evening.

United, who got back to winning ways with a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, secured a 1-1 draw in the first-leg in Spain last month thanks to a late goal from substitute Anthony Elanga.

The Reds were second best for long spells of the contest and Elanga's strike earned them a huge goal in the tie. It means that this evening's clash will kick-off with the contest finely balanced.

The away-goals rule was scrapped by UEFA ahead of the start of this season, meaning a draw this evening would not be enough for either side to progress.
