The Met Office has issued a weather warning with a large band of fog forecast to descend on parts of the region. It will reduce visibility to 50 metres in some places, according to forecasters.

Motorists have been urged to take care. Cars, buses and trains could be delayed and flights could also be affected or even cancelled, according to the alert.
