Met Office issues update on yellow weather warning for snow and ice in the north west

Storm Arwen has battered much of the UK this weekend and freezing temperatures are set to continue. A yellow weather warning for snow and ice remains in place until 11am on Sunday in Scotland and the north of England.

The Met Office issued an update late last night to extend the warning into other parts of Scotland and north west England "in light of more extensive snow early Sunday".
