The Met Office has warned more wintry conditions will continue as half a million homes have been left without power.The ice blast will follow the blizzards and near-100mph winds that caused chaos over the weekend.A cold weather alert, issued by the UK Health Security Agency, is still in place today.Heavy snow saw lorries stuck on the roads and gales damaged buildings and in some cases left gaping holes in roofs.But the weather agency has warned that as the storm is clearing towards Europe, the mercury will drop to the coldest it's been this season so far.Tom Morgan,.
