Manhunt for six jail inmates who escaped coronavirus 'stay inside' order

A manhunt has been launched to find six inmates who are still on the run after escaping jail amid the coronavirus outbreak. The inmates escaped as a group of 14, of which eight were arrested immediately.

Washington state police are on the hunt for the prisoners who defied a stay-at-home order from the governor. The inmates broke out of Yakima County Jail after breaking down a fire exit door with a table, reports the Daily Mail.

In a Facebook statement, Yakima County Sheriff Robert Udell, said: "Despite the governor’s shelter-in-place, or stay-at-home order, well, they didn’t want to do that.

So they are out and about and we need your help to get these guys back in custody." Governor Jay Inslee had issued a statewide "shelter in place" order
