dailystar.co.ukRapper Ty has died from Covid-19 his management, has confirmed this evening. The Mercury Prize-nominated rapper, real name Ben Chijoke, died of coronavirus at 47 years old.
Ty had been admitted into hospital in early April after displaying coronavirus symptoms. A fundraising page established for the music star said he had been "admitted into the hospital with medical complications related to Covid-19. "Shortly after, he was put in a medically induced coma to temporarily sedate to help his body receive the appropriate treatment." The donations page was last updated on April 19, shortly after the rapper was moved out of intensive care.
