dailystar.co.ukScrubs actor Sam Lloyd has died at the age of 56. Show creator Bill Lawrence confirmed the news on Friday via Twitter with an emotional post, which read: "Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today. (Ted).
Truly such a kind, sweet guy. He will be missed by so many." Sam played quirky lawyer Ted Buckland in 95 episodes of the long-running American comedy series, which was set at a hospital.
Lloyd was the nephew of Back To The Future star Christopher Lloyd. He had been battling an inoperable brain tumour since last year.
Scrubs producer Tom Hobert and his wife had previously established a GoFundMe page to raise money for Sam to support him with his health struggles.
