Maurice Roëves, best known for appearing in Doctor Who, has died aged 83.His death was confirmed by his agents Lovett Logan earlier today.The said in a statement on Twitter: "It is with great sadness that we can confirm the passing of our wonderful client Maurice Roeves."We will miss him hugely and all our love goes to Vanessa and family."Born in Sunderland, but brought up in Scotland the actor appeared in numerous films, TV series, and theatre productions during his illustrious career which spanned six decades.
His first television roles saw him appear in 1975's The Sweeney, Danger UXB, The Nightmare Man and in the 1984 Doctor Who serial The Caves of Androzani.
