Doctor Who actor Maurice Roëves has died aged 83. The actor was known for his roles in Doctor Who, EastEnders and River City.
His acting agent Lovett Logan confirmed the star's death on social media on Wednesday. The statement read: "It is with great sadness that we can confirm the passing of our wonderful client #MauriceRoëves. "We will miss him hugely & all our love goes to Vanessa and family." The cause of Maurice's death has not been made public yet.
Fans will remember Maurice as Geoff, the alcoholic father of Kate Morton, in EastEnders. Tributes begun to circulate on social media for the actor.
