The 17-year-old is widely tipped to be a star of the future for United and Norway, and he was named as the best football talent of the year among under-15 players in Norway in 2019 by the Norwegian Football Federation.
Despite his young age, Hansen-Aaroen has already made seven first-team appearances for Norwegian first division side Tromso, making his professional debut on 6 July 2020, replacing Kent-Are Antonsen for the final minutes of a 2–0 win.
