One of Manchester's biggest and most popular bar groups has announced a raft of new safety measures to try and put a stop to drink spiking.
A string of young women across the country have reported having their drinks spiked in recent weeks, with a nationwide boycott of nightclubs planned tonight.
Students in Manchester told the M.E.N. that they 'don't feel safe' in nightclubs. Read more: Students hold protest and boycott clubs this evening over spikings It's prompted Crazy Pedro's, which runs two late-night dive bars in the city centre, to introduce extra measures in their bars.
These will be rolled out across its sister sites in the city, including Lost Cat and Wolf at the Door in the Northern Quarter.
