A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after a 'violent disturbance' in broad daylight outside a shop in Chorlton. Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Mersey Bank Avenue, near to the Mersey Bank Convenience Store, at around 8.40am on Saturday (May 9).
A 49-year-old was taken to hospital from the scene with a head injury. He has since been discharged, GMP said. A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
