Torres played an important role in Spain's success at this summer's European Championship, scoring two goals while also providing one assist at the tournament, although he couldn't stop his nation from losing in the semi-finals against eventual winners Italy.
Since that exit, Torres, like the Blues' other stars who featured at Euro 2020, has gone on holiday to recharge before the new season commences, with City scheduled to play Tottenham away on August 15 in the capital for their opening game of the campaign.
