Hamilton Accies hero is just happy to be over injury nightmare

Lewis Spence was delighted to mark his Accies return with the winner against Morton on Saturday, and hopes that means he's over his injury nightmare.The 26-year-old has endured a tricky start to his Hamilton career, dislocating his knee in the 0-0 draw at Dunfermline on September 25.He made his comeback in the 0-0 draw at Raith Rovers on February 5, and Spence is now just happy to be back in the team.The former Scunthorpe and Ross County midfielder rifled a low shot into the bottom left corner a minute and a half into the second half, after Morton failed to clear a Kieran MacDonald cross.Spence was delighted with his second goal of the season, but says he's just looking to stay fit and help Accies as much as he can between now and the end of the season.He said: "I'm delighted to even just be back in the starting 11, that was the main thing, but it's a wee bonus to get the goal as well."Obviously it hasn't been the best start-off at Hamilton with my injury and that, but that's me back now."It's my first start back and a goal, so I'm delighted, and delighted with the three points."That's a big one for us, because on form Morton are probably the best team in the league at the moment, so I thought the boys did brilliant."It was vital today that we got three points because we've been doing well but haven't been getting the praises for it, so I'm delighted with the three points."I don't know what it looked like up there.
