Resident blasts council for neighbour's 'special treatment' to abuse bin recycling system

A fed-up resident claims the council are allowing his neighbours to abuse the recycling system and leave their bins overflowing.

Bryan Clark lives on Cassillis Terrace in Maybole and claims one of his neighbours receives special treatment to fill their bins with general mixed rubbish and have bins emptied “at their whim”, when other residents would be fined for doing the same.

Bryan told Ayrshire Live : “Never do they place their bins as normal. Their garden is disgraceful. “It’s infuriating. It’s depressing and it gets you down.“All the rest of us are fined if we put the wrong rubbish into a bin but they have got special dispensation not to do that.Bryan, who was born in Maybole and lived in the Highlands for a number of years, said he requested an FOI as he “was appalled by the reaction of the councillors who just dropped the matter.”In his FOI to SAC he said: “You permit them to do have gardens full of waste only to be collected, it appears,
