The versatile defender started at centre-back for the Netherlands in their friendly match with Spain in Amsterdam but had to be taken off after just six minutes.He was pictured clutching his right hamstring, which appears to be the cause of the injury.
Ake arrived at City this past summer in a £40million transfer from relegated Bournemouth and has looked impressive in his first few performances.
However, he has already suffered from an injury having missed three games in October due to what Pep Guardiola called 'niggles in the groin.' There is no indication as of yet how serious the new hamstring.
