Man arrested in Eaglesham in connection with attempted murder in Darnley

A man arrested in Eaglesham on Sunday morning was traced by cops investigating an attempted murder.The 35-year-old man – who has not yet been charged – was collared by police after a substantial search of the Bonnyton area in the village.And the News can reveal the man is being questioned in relation to an attempted murder in Darnley on Saturday night.

Emergency crews raced to Glen Esk Drive there at around 11.25pm after reports of a man found on the street with serious injuries to his arm and head.

The 35-year-old is currently being treated for his injuries at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition has been described as ‘serious’.
