trial accused of leaving his alleged victim scarred for life in a public park knife attack. Neil McDade is said to have lashed out at Jamie Docherty in a park in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
Prosecutors claim McDade repeatedly tried to strike Mr Docherty on the body with a knife.He is then said to have rained numerous successful blows on his alleged victim's head and body - leaving him injured and suffering "permanent disfigurement".
McDade, 46, is said to have committed the alleged attack on June 21, 2019, and was due to go on trial over the claims at Paisley Sheriff Court in February.
But, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and associated restrictions, the case could not proceed as planned, and was adjourned until this week.
