Full inquest into circumstances surrounding death of man at Stockport park will be needed, coroner says

An inquest into the death of Graham Stephen Bloomfield, was opened at Stockport Coroners' Court on Wednesday (April 7). The body of Mr Bloomfield, 50, was discovered in Woodbank Park, Offerton, on February 3 earlier this year.

Mr Bloomfield worked as a warehouse operative and lived in Offerton, the inquest heard. Area coroner Chis Morris confirmed that the deceased had been found hanged.

Mr Morris, giving a preliminary cause of death, said: "A post-mortem examination carried out by Dr Yates and toxicology tests found that Mr Bloomfield's death was caused by 1a) hanging. "This
