A man who recklessly ignored the coronavirus lockdown to throw a drug-fuelled party inside a disused swimming pool has been jailed.

David Joseph Dickinson, 24, and five others were discovered in the abandoned building on the Isle of Man by police who were called to the site.

Officers noticed the group had been drinking and Dickinson, who lives in Port Erin, admitted to stashing cannabis in a nearby drain.

He previously admitted breaching the Emergency Powers Act and possession of cannabis and last week at the Isle of Man Courts of Justice in Douglas he was jailed for three months.
