LOVE Island is set to have its first disabled star after approaching a number of influencers with disabilities. The casting team are now actively contacting potential participants who have a visible disability for the ITV2 dating contest.
They include influencer and para-athlete Milly Pickles, 26, who had to have her leg amputated after she was electrocuted. A source said: “Casting are actively approaching for someone who visibly has a disability. ”It’s all part of the show trying to be as diverse as possible. “The final line-up hasn’t been sorted yet but it would be ideal if they had at least one disabled islander.” Love Island previously featured Niall Aslam, 25, who revealed his autism diagnosis after leaving the villa prematurely in.
