So she was absolutely shocked when just a few months later her postcode was picked as a winner of £30,000.It has been an incredibly tough year for the 55-year-old, from Charnock Richard, Lancs, but the windfall has finally given her something to smile about.Janet found out how much she’d won on a video call with lottery ambassador Judie McCourt.
She said: “30,000! Wow, brilliant. Fantastic! I actually joined [People’s Postcode Lottery] because my mum had Alzheimer’s and it gives a lot of money to Alzheimer’s charities.
