Animal Rebellion are claiming some Londoners, who remain resistant to the move towards plant-based alternatives, might now be having to drink their coffee black and their cereal dry after the protestors' concerted effort to disrupt dairy distribution facilities.Over a five-day period, the demonstrators blocked and occupied dairy distribution sites and even caused damage to milk trucks. READ MORE: Vile social media scam falsely claims 'Queen's kidnapped' and asks users for ransom doshThey have since put their crusade of disorder on hold as a mark of respect for the Queen's passing.But, nevertheless, Animal Rebellion reckon their interventions are now beginning to be felt in regards to the public's access to milk.The group are lobbying for a switch from meat, milk and dairy products to plant-based alternatives to help ease the climate crisis.
They would also like to see farmers receive adequate support to enable that transition, which would free up land for rewilding and draw down carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through new plants and forests to protect nature.
Dan Kidby, a co-founder of Animal Rebellion, said: "We paused our non-violent campaign out of respect for the British people following the news of Queen Elizabeth’s death, but the disruption we caused is still being felt across the dairy supply chain.
