the capital will be on 'High' coronavirus alert, meaning they'll have to face a number of new strict measures to help curb the spread of the virus.
Londoners will no longer be able to mix with different households indoors, including in pubs and restaurants. MPs have been informed about the changes ahead of Health Secretary Matt Hancock giving a Commons update on the measures later today.
While extra local restrictions should be followed, all residents in England must still abide by the national measures in place.This includes the 'rule of six' which prohibits gatherings of more than six people and the 10pm curfew for the hospitality industry.
