Ex-UFC star threatens "little b****" rival by pulling out bat during ugly war of words
UFC fighter Mike Perry is set to take on Julian Lane in the co-main event of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) Knuckle Mania 2 event on Saturday and the pair had a heated show-down at the press-conference.The two fighters exchanged verbal barbs and needed to be separated when Perry pulled out a baseball bat and threatened Lane. After calling Lane a "little b****", Perry put down his microphone, picked up the bat and brandished it towards his opponent. As security personnel stepped between the two fighters to ensure things could not get physical, Lane said: "Oh yeah? You got a bat, b****? Look at this guy: he needs a bat."Lane and Perry previously got into a ringside scrap at the BKFC Fight Night: Tampa event in December, with Lane provoking Perry while he was speaking to the commentary team about his decision to join the promotion.Perry put down his headset and left the commentary booth to brawl with Lane in the crowd before security separated them and the pair are now set to fight in Perry's BKFC debut.Reflecting on the scrap ahead of their bout, Perry said: "When they brought me over – and I had a few drinks that night, so I wasn't fully clear-headed and wasn’t totally sober. What did you make of the scuffle? Let us know in the comments section."I tried to drink some water before I went over there to do the interview. I tried to take some deep breaths and be like, 'Oh man, I've got to try to sober up,' and I don’t know, he threw those cards at me."Whatever, bro.
