Mrs Brown's Boys star Brendan O'Carroll has been criticised for making a joke about Tyler Perry's skin colour on The One Show.The actors appeared together on the BBC evening series on Tuesday to discuss their forthcoming Netflix movie, A Madea Homecoming.Appearing via video-link with presenters Lauren Laverne and Harry Judd, Brendan was asked whether he would ever invite Tyler Perry to appear on his BBC sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys.In response, the 66-year-old Irish actor said: "I don't know if we can afford him, he's very expensive and so far, we haven't had anyone of his colour in there."Gesturing to his own face, Brendan added: "So I don't know if we could have him in but I'd love that."More importantly, I'd love to do another movie with him."Tyler appeared amused by Brendan's comments and laughed at his co-star.While laughing, the 52-year-old Gone Girl star responded: "Nobody my colour."Time for change.

Here we go."While Tyler appeared nonplussed by Brendan's comments, The One Show fans had a different reaction.Posting to the social media site, one viewer branded Brendan's remark as "racist", while others were stunned by the comments and 'couldn't believe' what Brendan had said.One viewer wrote: "Did Brendan O'Carroll just say Tyler a Perry couldn’t be in Mrs Brown’s Boys because he's black on The One Show!?"Another commented: "Brendan [O'Carroll] just made a racist remark on the one show and not one person called him out.
