Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has said he would rather quit playing live than become a “Disneyland Maiden” by using backing tracks.The British heavy metal legends are heading out on the road in 2025 with their ‘Run For Your Lives’ tour of the UK and Europe. The tour marks their 50th anniversary as a band and will see them playing setlist made up exclusively of songs from their first nine studio albums.The tour kicks off in May in Budapest, with dates in Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, London and Glasgow in late June. Limp Bizkit fans during the nu metal band’s show at Dublin’s 3Arena last night (March 11).In the run-up to the show, the mixed martial artist said in an Instagram post he would “be bang in the centre of the Moshpit if anyone’s looking for their jaw broke and their teeth sent.”However, though frontman Fred Durst joked that they could “have a go at a slow dance” at the show, McGregor’s presence at the 3Arena wasn’t welcomed by the band’s fans.“It sounds like you’re in love with Conor McGregor here…” the vocalist said, which was met with a loud chorus of boos. “I’ll be straight with you,” continued Durst, “from what I’ve heard, he’s actually out there right now…”Footage of McGregor being booed circulated widely online, but fans there said that the footage didn’t do justice to just how loud the crowd’s disapproval of McGregor was.“The boos were very loud in the arena,” one fan on Reddit said.

Counting Crows have announced a 2025 UK, European and North American tour, titled ‘The Complete Sweets! Tour’.The band announced the news on social media today, confirming that the tour will follow their next album ‘Butter Miracle, the Complete Sweets!’, which is their first full-length project since 2014’s ‘Somewhere Under Wonderland’. ‘Butter Miracle, the Complete Sweets!’ is expected to be released on May 9.The new album follows 2021’s EP ‘Butter Miracle, Suite One’.

Cast have announced their forthcoming UK and Ireland tour in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their debut LP ‘All Change’.The Britpop veterans are set to embark on a 15-date run across the UK and Ireland with their first show set to take place on October 29 at the 3Olympia in Dublin. From there, John Power and co will make stops in the likes of Belfast, Nottingham, Oxford, Torquay, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Sheffield and more.

Los Campesinos! have broken down the “financial restrictions” of touring and revealed a significant “loss” from a one-off show in Dublin.The band posted the breakdown of finances on their website in hopes that it would provide insight to fans into what it takes to go on tour.“We always get asked ‘why don’t you ever come to play in XYZ’, and, though flattered, I personally also feel frustrated that there’s a lack of understanding as to the financial restrictions touring bands often face,” the website post read.“I thought it might be interesting to break down the finances involved in playing one-off shows, or shows in locations that aren’t the approximately 25 different cities we know that we have a relatively large fanbase in. I will add, the following isn’t a breakdown of what it would cost every band to play this sort of gig, it’s a breakdown of what it specifically costs Los Campesinos! to do a gig like this.”The breakdown of costs included money made from show fees and merch sales, as well as outgoings including travel, haulage, accommodation, crew wages and essentials such as food.In total, for the one-off gig that the band played at Dublin venue the Button Factory, they earned £6,151.59.

Philippe, attending with his Texas Chain Saw Massacre meditation Chain Reactions; director Jason Buxton, there with his acclaimed Ben Foster-starring thriller Sharp Corner, soon to be released by Vertical; Albert Serra, supporting his surprise San Sebastian winner Afternoons of Solitude; Palestinian director Elia Suleiman, honored by a curated retrospective; and British ’60s pop-culture icon Twiggy, subject of Sadie Frost’s film of the same name. From closer to home, director Lorcan Finnegan and writer Thomas Martin brought their cult Cannes hit The Surfer, and the UK’s Polly Steele came with Four Letters of Love starring Helena Bonham Carter and Pierce Brosnan.

Shaun Ryder has denied allegations of “punching” and “knocking out” from his former Happy Mondays bandmate Rowetta.Back in December the band announced that they had parted ways with the vocalist and percussionist after 34 years.Rowetta joined the band back in 1990 and was featured on the band’s single ‘Step On’, which peaked at Number Five on the charts.
