Mumford & Sons have added two extra dates to their upcoming UK arena tour after selling out all previous dates within two hours.Earlier this month, the band announced a 21-stop tour of the UK and Europe to support their new album ‘RUSHMERE’, which is set for release on March 28 via Island/Glassnote (pre-order/pre-save here).Those shows kick off at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm on November 6, with the UK dates starting with Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on December 2, followed by Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff and London.Now, two new dates have been added, with a date at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on November 29 and then Leeds’ First Direct Arena on November 30.

Alex Ritman “Holding Liat,” the Darren Aronofsky-produced film which recently won the best documentary feature award at the Berlinale, has been acquired by MetFilm Sales for worldwide sales. Directed by Brendan Kramer, the film — which now qualifies for consideration at the 2026 Oscars for best documentary feature after its win in Berlin — follows in the footsteps of “No Other Land,” which claimed the Berlinale’s top doc honor in 2024 and would go on to win the Academy Award earlier this year.

Jamie Lang The Málaga Film Festival unveiled winners from its various lineups this afternoon, where Eva Libertad’s “Deaf” walked away with a fest-best four prizes, including best actress (Miriam Garlo), actor (Álvaro Cervantes), the audience award and best picture. Libertad’s debut feature is an expansion of the eponymous Goya-nominated short she co-directed with Nuria Muñoz, starring her sister Garlo, an acclaimed deaf actress. The film tells the story of Angela (Garlo), a pregnant deaf woman, and Hector (Cervantes), her hearing partner.

Marta Balaga Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen – awarded the Grand Prix at Cannes for “Compartment No. 6” – has joined forces with Finland’s Elisa Viihde on upcoming six-episode series “Yours, Margot.” Elisa Viihde is an entertainment service of Elisa, which has been commissioning original drama series since 2014. “The project has been in stand-by mode and I’m happy to see it proceed with Elisa.

Call My Agent Berlin [working title] is heading to Disney+.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Disney+ has ordered “Call My Agent Berlin,” a Germany remake of the hit French series revolving around the world of talent agents. Directed by Boris Kunz, Laura Lackmann and Johann Buchholz, the German version of “Call My Agent” tells the story of the “Stern” actors agency and its agents. The local cast is headlined by Moritz Bleibtreu, Nilam Farooq, Iris Berben, Veronica Ferres, Katja Riemann, Heiner Lauterbach, Frederick Lau, Heike Makatsch, Emilia Schüle, Kostja Ullmann, Jürgen Vogel, Alicia von Rittberg, Max von der Groeben and Florence Kasumba.

Lise Pedersen Maxim Derevianko’s “Ai Weiwei’s Turandot” has been picked up by Berlin-based doc specialist Rise and Shine World Sales, ahead of its international premiere on March 21 in the Highlights section of the Copenhagen documentary festival CPH:DOX. The film follows Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei as he makes his debut as an opera director at the Rome Opera House, with a radical interpretation of Puccini’s century-old masterpiece. As well as presenting “Ai Weiwei’s Turandot,” Ai will also debut his latest documentary as a director, “Animality,” at CPH:DOX, which will have its world premiere on March 21, followed by a Q&A with the artist.

Naman Ramachandran Indian action thriller “Martin” has secured multiple international distribution deals, sales agent Indywood Distribution Network revealed at the Hong Kong FilMart. The film, which follows an Indian Revenue Service officer who loses his memory after a traumatic incident in Pakistan, has been acquired by Energia for Latin America, Capella Film for Russia, C2 Entertainments for the U.S.

Gene Maddaus Senior Media Writer Director Carl Erik Rinsch has been indicted on charges of fraud and money laundering for allegedly taking $11 million from Netflix and spending it on luxury cars, antique furniture and mattresses. Rinsch demanded the funds in order to finish “White Horse,” a science fiction TV series that was never completed, according to the indictment. Instead, he allegedly used the money to make “extremely risky investments,” to pay for stays at the Four Seasons and for other lavish purchases, and to hire lawyers to sue Netflix.

Addie Morfoot Contributor Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner’s March 13 proposal to shut down the city’s nonprofit art house cinema, O Cinema, following screenings of the Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land” is not sitting well with the members of the doc community. On Monday, 752 members of the international filmmaking community including doc feature Oscar winners Michael Moore, Laura Poitras, Ezra Edelman and Alex Gibney signed an open letter to the city of Miami Beach that stated, in part, that the Mayor’s threat to shut down the O Cinema is “an attack on freedom of expression, the right of artists to tell their stories, and a violation of the First Amendment.” Alfred Spellman, who co-founded Rakontur with Billy Corben in 2000, also signed the letter.
