Kate Middleton's statement in full as she admits editing Mother's Day photo
Kate Middleton has publicly taken the blame for a manipulated family photograph shared by Kensington Palace as she issued a personal apology for the “confusion”.The photograph of the Princess of Wales, with her three children was released as a Mother's Day tribute, but quickly became the subject of a photo editing scandal. The snap, which features Kate with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis by her side, was sent out by Kate and Prince William's official team on social media on Sunday, 10 March, and included a personal tribute written by Kate. But within a day, various photo agencies responsible for sharing official photographs to the world's media issued a 'kill notice', which means the photo was being removed from their collections. Then, despite being officially signed off from her royal duties until after Easter, Kate made a rare public statement in response to the furore, saying she wanted to apologise for "any confusion" caused by the family picture, which was taken at Windsor.
