Mercedes' radical new F1 car design creates Red Bull 'illegal' debate
Formula One World Championship - and have insisted that it is perfectly legal.Lewis Hamilton and new teammate George Russell debuted the new style in Bahrain testing on Thursday (March 10) - and everyone noticed that the car had tiny side pods. With F1 chiefs admitting a lot of debate will be created by an "extreme interpretation" of the rules, Red Bull boss Christian Horner was forced to deny claims that he questioned the legality of the design.Horner, who oversaw Max Verstappen's controversial victory over Hamilton to claim his first world championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December, was reported to have said that the "spirit" of the sport had been broken.A team spokesperson said: "Christian Horner has not given any interviews regarding Mercedes car. Any quotes being attributed to him this morning are incorrect."With Horner himself told Sky Sports F1: "I was slightly surprised to be reading comments I’m supposed to have been making, but there we go."With Red Bull saying in a statement: "So we are clear, we have made no official comment regarding Mercedes’ car and will not be doing so."Should the design be permitted? The £100m Cotswolds mansion plans offering a 'Gatsby' lifestyle to the billionaire set
Chipping Norton and the surrounding countryside has long been the bolt-hole of Britain's wealthy elite.Just a few hours from London, the Oxfordshire area offers the kind of rural setting and farm-style homes beloved by celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Jeremy Clarkson, Amanda Holden and former Prime Minister David Cameron. Some split their time between mansions in the capital and the most lavish country homes the Cotswolds has to offer. In the village of Chadlington, former Top Gear host Clarkson is building a more than 12,000 sq ft, six-bedroom property on his estate, including a basement cinema and a walled garden. But even they might raise an eyebrow at the plans for a new 60-acre property near the village of Ramsden. Designs for St John’s House have been inspired by the mansion that plays host to the wild parties in F Scott Fitzgerald's Great Gatsby - most recently brought to life by the Hollywood film starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Carey Mulligan. It promises to be the largest stately home built in Britain for more than 100 years, but comes at a huge cost. The land, and planning permission including designs drawn up by architect Professor Robert Adam is on the market for £20m in a listing by Savills estate agents.

Saudi Arabia Leads Streaming Gains in Gulf Arab Nations, as Pay-TV Market Contracts (EXCLUSIVE)
Nick Vivarelli International CorrespondentSaudi Arabia is leading the way as streaming platforms continue to gain traction in top Arab markets, where revenues from the SVOD market in 2021 grew a yearly 29% to $453 million.New research from Media Partners Asia reveals that Saudi accounted for more than half of the revenues. However, the pay-TV sector in Gulf Arab states suffered a 10% drop in revenues to $631 million in 2021, compared with 2020.The pay-TV sector in the region is now expected to further contract to $436 million by 2026, according to the report, which looks at streamers, pay TV and free TV across the six oil-rich Gulf Cooperation Council countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.  By contrast, SVOD revenue in the Gulf is projected to grow from its current level of $453 million to reach $667 million by 2026, “driven by improvements in connectivity, elevated levels of pay-TV cord cutting and the launch of new global platforms,” the report said. While Saudi Arabia accounted for more than half of the Gulf’s $453 million SVOD intake, the UAE, despite having a much smaller population, generated $125 million, which is 28% of the region’s 2021 SVOD revenues.Nevertheless, profitability “remains a challenge,” noted Media Partners analyst Aravind Venugopal, since competition will soon be steeped with more streamers set to enter what will soon become a crowded Arab streaming field.
