Teenage Fanclub have shared a new single, ‘I Left A Light On’, which they say is the first indication that a new album may be on the way.The new song is a slow-burning, piano-led ballad with soaring strings, written by the band’s Norman Blake while they were mixing their latest album, 2021’s ‘Endless Arcade’. It was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, and arrives alongside a video that shows the band performing it there.“As a band we’ve already started thinking about another new album,” comments Blake.

Radiohead side-project The Smile have shared their third new single of the year, an eerie cut titled ‘Pana-vision’.The trio – comprising Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner – shared the new song over the weekend. It’s built around haunting instrumentals, such as piano, strings and brass, and the ghostly refrain “like a newborn child“.The single arrived alongside an accompanying music video with equally eerie graphics, courtesy of animator Sabrina Nichols and artist Stanley Donwood.

Freddie Gibbs has enlisted Rick Ross for a new collaborative single, sharing a punchy cut titled ‘Ice Cream’.The track was produced by Kenny Beats, and is built around a sample used by Wu-Tang Clan‘s RZA and Raekwon for the latter’s 1995 single, also titled ‘Ice Cream’, which appeared on his ‘Only Built 4 Cubin Linx’ LP.Gibbs and Ross pay homage to Raekwon’s ‘Ice Cream’ throughout their cut, notably in the accompanying music video. In it, we see Gibbs riding around in an ice cream van, mirroring footage from Raekwon’s ’90s clip.

Tom Parker has left the nation in mourning after he sadly lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 30.The 33-year-old singer from the chart-topping band The Wanted had tragically been diagnosed with an "inoperable" glioblastoma in October 2020.While many would have assumed that Tom would have listened to one of his own hits as his suffering came to an end, instead he chose a song that friends agreed described him well.Surrounded by family and his fellow The Wanted bandmates, Tom slipped away peacefully while listening to Oasis song Live Forever as he sadly succumbed to the horrific disease.Speaking about the song choice, a close friend of the family told The Sun: "You might have thought Tom would opt for something by The Wanted but Oasis' Live Forever sums him up perfectly - he was a rockstar and that's how he wants to be remembered."It's a real anthem to strength and defiance and some of the lyrics really speak to his struggle.

Liam Gallagher has shared a new single called ‘C’mon You Know’ – listen to it below.The song serves as the title track from the former Oasis frontman’s third solo album, which is out on May 27 via Warner.
