Lidl shoppers fume at change to £1.49 household staple that's 'so cheeky'

Lidl has managed to land itself in a bit of hot water with its customers who have been left fuming over a major change they have spotted on its toilet paper.

The budget supermarket chain's loyal customers have flocked to social media to complain about a change it has made to its Floralys Quilted Toilet Paper.Shoppers have noticed that the German discounter has dropped the quality of the household item from 4-ply to 3-ply - but kept the price the same.

As reported by The Mirror, the change was spotted by one customer who alerted others on social media.Sharing a snap of Lidl's Floraly 4 pack toilet paper to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, they wrote: "Lidl have changed the quality of their quilted toilet paper, changed from 4 ply to 3 ply but have kept the price the same." The post was quickly met with a mass reponse of nearly 400 comments from disappointed shoppers who branded the major change as "sneaky" and "so cheeky."One shopper fumed: "I noticed this the other day because it felt different that's so cheeky."A second said: "Why am I not surprised can't believe the prices of loo paper and kitchen paper it's all way over the top now don't know when all this is going to end its all becoming extortionate now."A third added: "All companies are doing something similar unfortunately, they think we don't notice."While a fourth commented: "Crafty.
