Leigh Centurions have signed highly-rated youngster Luis Roberts. Rugby League Live understands the Centurions have snapped up the young outside back, who was nominated for the young Championship player of the year award this year.
Roberts, who is from Leigh, was a standout performer in a struggling Swinton side that was ultimately relegated at the end of the season The 19-year-old, who played for Folly Lane before heading to Salford Red Devils, enjoyed a superb maiden year and has now been rewarded for his efforts with a move to one of the Championship's top clubs.
Leigh are assembling a squad following relegation from Super League, with recruitment being spearheaded by director of rugby Chris Chester.
