The Only Way Is Essex star confirmed that her husband, William Lee-Kemp, and mother, Carol Wright, were both by her side through the birth for support and guidance.They were all stationed at London’s Portland Hospital when she went into labour and began the process on May 17.She went in after she realised something terrifying: “In those last few weeks he had been so active and then, all of a sudden, it completely dropped which was very scary. So, our doctor told us to come straight to the hospital.”Medics attempted to induce her birth for a whopping 48 hours, but discovered that his heart rate had dropped which may have been caused by the child being in an “awkward position”.Doctors moved quickly, as this can cause further complications, and the decision to take him out by C-section was made.Jess opened up about her thoughts on the process: “I had been so intent on having a natural birth and to go through that experience as I’d done all the hypnobirthing.”However, as the baby needed to be removed quickly, the C-section went ahead.Jess remained positive and said that it was “their destiny” and “how it was supposed to happen” which helped them “accept it” and “get excited that it was happening”.The happy couple soon met little Presley, whose name Jess “fell in love with” after just eight weeks of pregnancy, and she described it as: “Such an intense, crazy time, having your first child and not knowing what to expect.
